AI news: Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, in a recent chat with Bloomberg, shared a warning: while most of us are worried about AI taking over office jobs, the bigger change might be just around the corner. Altman says we should prepare for a world where humanoid robots aren’t just in labs or movies, but walking down the street, right alongside us.

AI News:
Altman told Bloomberg said: “I don’t think the world has really had the humanoid robot’s moment yet,” “People may have abstractly thought about AI replacing specific tasks like programming or customer support, but the moment when humanoid robots are a common sight will take people by surprise.” (src)
OpenAI is now diving into the world of humanoid robots—and it’s not doing it alone. Earlier this year, the company teamed up with Figure AI, a startup focused on building smart, human-like machines. The goal? To speed up the development of robots that can actually help out in everyday industries like manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and even retail. As Business Insider reported, this partnership is all about bringing useful, AI-powered robots from the lab into the real world.
Humanoid robots can handle tasks like lifting, assembling, and working in risky environments. At home, they help with cleaning and elderly care.
With AI, they can talk, recognize emotions, and assist in customer service or teaching. In healthcare, they support nurses and monitor patients. Some are also used for security and disaster response.
